S.p.a.c.e. by Charlielim b.k.

S.p.a.c.e. was described to me as a creative resource centre founded by a man named Charlie lim, A photographer and antique collector. Having BEEN IN THE singapore arts scene for over 50 years, His insights and experiences were interesting and at times even fascinating to listen to.

I met mr. Lim by searching for a part time job during my semester break right before my third year in poly, and didn’t think much of it apart from wanting to make some pocket money until school reopens again, so I took what I can get.

getting to know each other, I bring it up to him that I’m learning graphic design in poly, so he tasked me with creating a logo for his company rebrand.

I understood his vision of wanting to explore different artistic disciplines and discover things about the world and self by doing so, and s.p.a.c.e. i was told, is his platform for doing just that - A creative resource centre aiming to produce all sorts of creative work from design to photography.

The logo was to be simple and type-based with the letters having some weight to them, hence after many revisions, This was the final product:
