Gundam poster
As a child, I was very much interested in Transformers. I revered the michael bay films and would watch the 2007 movie nearly every day because we had it on dvd. I also used to collect all the toys and still have many of them from my childhood with me today.
the childlike wonder of wanting to explore a fictional world, its story and characters has always been vital to my upbringing but somewhere along the line, I think I lost that sense of wonder, which, for a brief period in time, made me lose my own sense of self.
In 2023, when transformers: rise of the beasts came to cinemas, and the franchise was gaining popularity again, I decided to revisit the older films and dig out my old toys from my house’s storage room, reigniting a spark in me that I thought was burnt out a long time ago. That led me to immerse myself in other fictional worlds involving giant robots fighting each other - mobile suit Gundam.
The making of this poster was inspired by embracing the child in me, my curiosity, and my need to explore the unknown and celebrate the things I grow to love.
